Donington race weekend got off to a rocky start in qualifying, it felt like it was only running on one cylinder. This meant Luc could only manage to qualify 16th on the grid. We thought we had this sorted, but sadly Luc had to retire from race one with the same problem as in the qualifying.
Race two, the issue finally resolved, Luc was finally able to push the bike the first time since the new frame was fitted, but the bike just wasn’t handling the way he wanted he still managed a respectable 8th place in the mixed conditions.
Race three was dry and the bike was set up correctly all issues resolved everything was going well but as the race went on Luc was losing the feel of the rear end with a suspected rear shock issue but was still able to finish in 6th place.
Race four we hardened up the rear shock as best we could and Luc had a great race finishing just off the podium. It was also the first weekend we were able to get the 2D data logging system fully operational on the bike. I had spent a lot of time building a loom and sensors mounts, so we finally had all the telemetry data for the bike and could analyse all the information this gave us.
So we should now be fully prepared for the last race of the season in a fortnight. Well once we service that rear shock.
